Orenthis: Resistance & Redemption
Orenthis: Resistance & Redemption is a D&D 5e campaign sourcebook set in Orenthis, a once‑prosperous and proud kingdom, now ruled by fear, corruption, and infernal law.
Not long ago, Orenthis stood as a beacon of trade, culture, and civic order. That era ended abruptly when a Goristro demon lord rose to power, exploiting unrest, resentment, and fear to seize control of the realm. What followed was not open conquest, but something far worse: the weaponization of the very institutions meant to protect the people.
The streets once filled with laughter now echo with the synchronized march of faceless Merregon enforcers. Propaganda broadcasts, delivered in the strained voice of a magically bound Kenku, justify every raid, detention, and disappearance. Neighbors inform on neighbors. Families are torn apart. Truth itself is regulated. And somewhere above it all, in his gilded tower, the Goristro endures.
The adventurers find themselves drawn together not by destiny, but by refusal. Each has seen the regime's cruelty firsthand. Each has either lost something or stands to lose everything. Whether motivated by conscience, anger, loyalty, or survival, they share a single conviction:
This regime cannot be allowed to stand.
This is not a simple tale of slaying a monster atop a tower. The Goristro's strength is not just physical; it is systemic. Enforced by a coalition of corrupted officials and opportunists who have bent Orenthis's laws, faith, and traditions to serve tyranny. If the adventurers can survive long enough to unite the resistance, expose the regime's lies, and dismantle its power structure piece by piece, they may yet save Orenthis from itself.
But first, they must learn how power truly works and what it costs to challenge it.
